Sunliner has a long and proud history as one of Australia’s first campervan and motorhome companies. In 1974 Tony Hunter and his wife Sue purchased a van and decided to have a go at converting it into a camper. The finished product was so good that Tony was offered to sell it, and the company began.
The founder’s vision was to create recreational vehicles that were functional, stylish, built with a quality that would last the distance and that was tailored to the unique demands of the transient lifestyle and environments; this is still the companies vision today.
More than 40 years on it is that same commitment to function, style, innovation and quality that makes Sunliner one of the leading recreational vehicle brands of Australia and New Zealand.
Sunliner is still a proudly family owned Australian business, however, is now managed by the second generation of the Hunter Family. Sunliner continues to set Australian and New Zealand industry standards for quality and innovation in recreational vehicle manufacture.

Spectra Industries is the division responsible for the marketing and distribution of recreational vehicles to wholesale independent dealership networks that then retail to the consumer market.

Our manufacturing division is responsible for manufacture of components and recreational vehicles for the Australian and New Zealand market.
The division covers the manufacture of consumer recreational vehicle products including campervans, motorhomes, caravans and fifth wheel units. It also covers the manufacture and direct distribution of walls, floors and furniture to the Australian recreational vehicle market.
Activities are conducted through 7 factories; employing 120 qualified work force.
With 40 plus years’ experience in the Australian and New Zealand recreational vehicle industry the Hunter Group has established a vast knowledge and understanding of the intricacies and boundaries in the design, engineering and construction of a recreational vehicle.
